Digital solutions are sold as the savior par excellence. Companies, work, education, and also the state, are currently being digitally transformed. And at the same time, mistakes are being repeated in all kinds of realms. Instead of navigating the digital space of possibilities, many organizations are busy "baking" pies in the sky in technology. Time for the pros to help

In addition to the BusinessScorecard, the Diamondmine and a support program for BYY-training KoersvastOndernemen provides an instrument tracking system, named Erba-Soft. This program was designed by a sterilization assistant who found the system used insufficient. He experienced that the existing programs were inadequate. That’s the reason that he designed a new program. KoersvastOndernemen assisted him in professionalizing his idea. Erba-Soft is built in the IRIS-platform, as we do with all our programs. Erba-Soft is currently running in the veterinary clinic in Utrecht.

Health care systems all over the world are challenged by ageing populations, growing care demand, increased consumerism, shortage of workforce and affordability of healthcare. At the same digitisation, D&A and emerging new technologies provide opportunities to change the model for care delivery. We need to make a fundamental shift in the way in which we organize healthcare towards a model based on the principles of ‘connected healthcare’. This means transforming service delivery models, physical and technological infrastructures, data-infrastructure and governance and payment models. We need to start thinking and acting in terms of population management and integrated care systems to make the necessary step towards the future.

Vlisco has been designing and manufacturing distinctive fabrics loved by African women since 1846. Inspired by Africa, made with a technique derived from Indonesian Batik, designed in the Netherlands, Vlisco’s heritage and design signature is a multicultural melting pot of beauty and industrial craftsmanship. The quality of our wax fabrics is key to our success; improving the process control of the production environment immediately results in a higher product quality. Therefore, we need to enhance our process knowledge beyond human capabilities: introducing Industry 4.0 allows us to take our quality to the next level supported by InterSystems IRIS data platform.

We use several applications (EMR, Nurse record, orders, …) for about 10 years now. We are now occupied to change these ones and to implement one and only one EPR. This is quite a long journey in which uniformisation, harmonisation and interoperability are important. 3.000 users are concerned.

With the upcoming QuickML capability in InterSystems IRIS, we’re making the dark arts of Machine Learning accessible to a much broader audience than the Python-savvy data scientist caste that claimed this domain before. This session will provide a comprehensive picture and demo of what to expect with the 2020.1 release of IRIS with QuickML and also look into an upcoming extension leveraging our homegrown NLP technology for use in ML.

In the Netherlands, everyone has a right to have digital access to their own health information in 2020. In the South East of the Netherlands we are trying to ensure this AND combining this with information exchange between care providers. A big step in information exchange and a giant step to better healthcare.

Angélique van der Veer | RZCC

One of the mayor challenges of a healthcare facility today is to deliver safe and effective care to its patients in the most cost-effective way, while still ensuring the highest quality of care. A real time location system (RTLS), like the Televic AQURA care communication platform, enables the automation of processes that enable better-managed care. The outcome is a reduction in patient wait time, a reduction in the number of steps taken by medical assistants and an increase in time for patient care.
