Marcel Artz is the Chief Information Officer for the Vlisco Group. He has over 10 years of experience in the realm of data & analytics, including 3 years at Philips Healthcare. During his professional career he started a spin-off company on solar technology and worked as ERP consultant for industrial companies. Marcel feels comfortable at the edge of IT and Business challenges, and his ambition is to bring Industry 4.0 to Vlisco supported by data science and artificial intelligence solutions.
Sascha Friesike is Professor of Digital Innovation Design at the Berlin University of the Arts and Director of the Weizenbaum Institute. He is also an associate researcher at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute. Friesike is an industrial engineer and holds a PhD from the University of St.Gallen. In his research, he focuses on the role digital plays when something new is created. He investigates the role of digitalization in science and looks at how creative people work.

John Gesquiere received his master’s degree in electronics at Ghent University in 1993. He started his career in the company Sparnex where he was involved in designing ADSL modems. He joined Televic in 1995 where he has taken up different functions. He started in the Conferencing division where he took the role of R&D manager and later on Business unit manager. From 2010 to 2014 he has taken up the function of R&D director in the central R&D lab of Televic Group. Since 2015 John is R&D and Product Management director of the Televic Healthcare division.

I work for twenty years as cio in hospitals. For fifteen years, I’m in charge of IT and Technical département in GHdC, an hospital over 1000 beds. We’re now occupied with the construction of a full new hospital (145.000m²) in which IT will take a great place. The new DPI – EPR will be one of the main tools of this project.

Dr. Anna van Poucke works with healthcare providers, governments and pharmaceutical companies globally on the transformation of healthcare systems in the context of (future) trends. Development of regional health strategies, integrated provider networks, service delivery model design and governance and financial set up are elements of her portfolio. Next to that she is involved in strategy development and portfolio redesign, mergers and financial restructuring of diverse hospitals. She advised the South African board of Health Funders on the introduction of “Universal Health Coverage”. She has worked with clients in the Netherlands, Canada, South Africa, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Iceland. Before joining KPMG, Anna was leading the Dutch DRG and tariffing office. Before that she held different advisory, management and board roles in health care.

Don Woodlock joined InterSystems in 2017 to oversee HealthShare, our comprehensive family of products created to empower the transformation of health and care through comprehensive, shared health information. In his role, Woodlock is responsible for advancing the HealthShare vision to meet the challenges associated with delivering improved quality, accessibility, and efficiency across the health and care. Prior to joining InterSystems, Woodlock was the vice president and general manager for the Enterprise Imaging division of GE Healthcare. He brings nearly 30 years’ experience in the healthcare IT industry, beginning his career at IDX Systems Corporation before spending more than 15 years at GE. His tenure at GE included overseeing several divisions of GE Healthcare along with the integration of acquired companies and technologies. Woodlock holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Helene Lengler is the Regional Managing Director for Central & Eastern Europe & Nordics. She joined InterSystems in July 2016 and has more than 25 years of experience in the software technology industry. During her professional career, she has held various senior positions at Oracle, including Vice President (VP) Sales Fusion Middleware and member of the executive board at Oracle Germany, VP Enterprise Sales and VP of Oracle Direct. Prior to her 16 years at Oracle, she worked for the Digital Equipment Corporation in several business disciplines such as sales, marketing and presales. Helene holds a Masters degree from the Julius-Maximilians-University in Würzburg and a post-graduate Business Administration degree from AKAD in Pinneberg.

Benjamin is a product manager in the Data Platforms group at InterSystems, looking after the areas of scalability and analytics. He joined InterSystems in 2010 as part of the iKnow acquisition and has worked with various database technologies, mostly in the areas of data warehousing, natural language processing and anything analytics.
Marcel den Ouden has been working for InterSystems as a Sales Engineer since 2006. He has been involved in several integration projects both in and outside healthcare. Marcel has assisted several customers in moving to InterSystems IRIS Data Platform and is also working on HealthShare projects.

Jeff Fried, Director of Product Management for InterSystems, is a long-standing data management nerd, and particularly passionate about helping people create powerful data-driven applications. Prior to joining InterSystems, Jeff was CTO of BA Insight, and ran product management for FAST Search and Transfer and for Microsoft. He has extensive experience in data management, text analytics, enterprise search, and interoperability. Jeff is a frequent speaker and writer in the industry; holds 15 patents; and has authored more than 50 technical papers and co-authored three technical books

Aleksandar Kovačević is a Machine Learning Enthusiast who reveals the superpowers of data. As a Sales Engineer at InterSystems, he works passionately to inform customers and prospects about what makes InterSystems products so distinctive. He achieves this thanks to his widespread technical expertise, from Electrical and Communications Engineering to Software Development and Big Data Analytics, attained through 12 years of experience working as a Researcher, Developer, and Consultant. In his recent professional years, he spent extensively in the area of Machine Learning. He helped customers, mainly financial institutions, to unlock the potential of Machine Learning in the optimization of their everyday business processes.
Alex MacLeod joined InterSystems in January 2001 while working towards her Masters’ Degree in Information Systems (earned in 2004) at Darmstadt Technical University, Germany. Based at the company’s headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Alex is a dual citizen of Germany and the USA.During her career with InterSystems, Alex has worked in roles within Implementation, Support, and Sales, with a wide range of clients in both the government and private sectors in a number of international markets including Germany, UK and the US. Alex’s exposure to multiple markets and the various aspects of InterSystems’ product and service offerings has enabled her to develop a deep understanding of how InterSystems technology can maximise customer success.During the early part of her career, Alex worked across a range of industry verticals including Financial Services, Manufacturing and Healthcare. She was a leading light in InterSystems’ go-to-market strategy for the HealthShare product portfolio, which has become her focused area of engagement over the last 10 years. In addition to her assimilation of industry and customer knowledge, Alex has gathered management experience as she has risen through the organisation, and was recently promoted to Manager, HealthShare Commercial Initiatives. In this key role, she is working alongside Regional and Country Managers around the world to help lead the growth of HealthShare internationally and product manages InterSystems’ as a Service offerings.

Aldo Verlinde joined InterSystems as a Sales Engineer in 2016. Before that he worked at very large companies (DSM, Philips) as well as very small ones. He held an equally diverse range of positions, spanning research and product development to project management and consultancy. His accrued expertise includes high-performance polymers, ballistics, workforce planning, and business intelligence. A recurring theme in all these fields is his utilization of scripting languages and databases, most notably PostgreSQL, PervasiveSQL, and of course Caché. As a physics graduate (TU Eindhoven) he has a sweet spot for everything technical, so the switch to the IT sector 15 years ago fits him well. He likes making conversation, a trait he professes in his frequent customer contacts. Aldo has broad interests, but at InterSystems he tries to focus on interoperability for the healthcare and logistics sectors, and on InterSystems IRIS and container technology.
